The comment that” hijab”, niqab, burqa etc. is “liberating” and “empowering” our women” is justan a worthless “Orwellian claim ” . According to their “Tagghiyeh” Hijab causes women to be more free and liberated in Islamic countries than western world!!!woww
But the fact is that enforcing the Hijab law is a tool to establish and fortify obedient and subservient status of women in their societies.
Hijab (Burqa, Niqaab) is prescribed for women because In Islamic view women are usually responsible for unlawful sexual encounters (rape) since according to ahadith they are considered a ” walking vagina” when they are on the streets:
=()Al-Hadis, trans. Al-Haj Maulana Fazlul Karim, vol. 2, p. 692, from Mishkat al-Masabih, by Waliuddin Abu Abdullah Mahmud Tabrizi: “A woman is like a private part. When she goes out the devil casts a glance at her”
=()(different chain of narrators) Al Hadis, Vol. 2, p. 692, Ibn Ma`sud reported from the Messenger of Allah who said, “A woman is like a private part (sex organ). When she goes out (walking) the devil casts a glance at her (in lust). Attested by Tirmizi.
to Muhammad women are nothing but sex object and Allah want to make clear to women, that is why Allah orders women to save guard their private part for husband(Quran 4:34)and we do not see any verse to tell men to do the same thing. To satisfy the husband is the only hope that women get in paradise as Omme Salmah reported ( Al Hadis, Vol. 1, p. 211)
**(al-Bukhari Book of Marriage #81/ al-Bukhari 5151/Sahih al-Bukhari Vol. 7, Book 62, Hadith 81)
** Ihya’ ‘Uloum ed-Din by Ghazali, Dar al-Kotob al-‘Elmeyah, Beirut, vol. II, Kitab Adab al-Nikah, p. 35.
** Tabari IX:113
One of the myth about hijab is that “Hijab is women choice” or “there is no compulsion in using hijab ” .According to Quran Hijab is a must and no believer has right to have any other option and opiion or choice( Quran 33:36 ):
“Pickthall: And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment save to their own husbands or fathers or husbands’ fathers…..”
Mohsin Khan: It is no sin on them (the Prophet’s wives, if they appear unveiled) before their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their brother’s sons, or the sons of their sisters, or their own (believing) women, or their (female) slaves, and keep your duty to Allah. Verily, Allah is Ever AllWitness over everything.”A woman is only allowed to present herself unveiled to family and slaves.
” Mohsin Khan: O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e.screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever OftForgiving, Most Merciful ”
